About the Role

BKM Management Company is a dynamic and growing firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our property operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, ensuring they are consistently operating in a well-maintained manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and repair and maintenance tasks to keep properties in good condition.
  • Collaborate with the property management team to deliver an appealing vacant space for marketing and lease-up in a timely, cost-effective manner.
  • Inspect roofs and gutters regularly, and ensure storm drains are kept clean and clear of rubbish.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems as requested.
  • Perform small projects as assigned by the Property Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Some related experience in commercial property operations.
  • General maintenance skills.
  • Comfortable working on roofs.
  • Knowledge of HVAC technical terms.
  • Strong knowledge of building trade tools and equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with deadlines.
  • Ability to perform the requirements of the job with a minimum of direct supervision.
Working Conditions

Some exposure to extreme degrees of heat, rain, noise, dust, and dirt.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, during holidays, or during non-work hours for emergencies with short notice.
  • Must have valid driver's license with good DMV driving record and proof of auto liability insurance.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
