Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Cosette Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a US-based, fully integrated pharmaceutical company with capabilities in product development, manufacturing, and commercial operations. Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials and components in support of production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify supply gaps and determine net requirements using Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) in our ERP system.
  • Schedule input of raw materials to appropriate inventory control levels and develop contingency plans to ensure production is not impacted.
  • Convert supply requisitions to purchase orders, confirm orders with vendors, and apply purchasing specifications as necessary.
  • Negotiate prices with current vendors and seek out alternate vendors to reduce costs.
  • Manage artwork files and current revisions, and process discard requests as necessary.
  • Perform purchase plan forecasts, set up meetings and conference calls, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Identify new sources to improve vendor performance and reduce costs.
  • Prepare annual budgets for assigned commodities and execute schedule changes as necessary.
  • Evaluate inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse personnel to transfer items between facilities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a materials organization, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in math, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and self-motivated with a detail-oriented approach.
