Job Overview:

Job Summary:

The Orthopedic Care Nurse Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and implementing timely nursing care for patients undergoing orthopedic procedures. This includes assessing patients' conditions, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' unique needs and goals
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on orthopedic care and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and progress
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
  • At least one year of experience in orthopedic care or a related field
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to lift up to 250 pounds with assistance
