About the Role

Munson Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to join their team of healthcare professionals in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive gynecologic and family planning services to patients, including preconception care, prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care.
  • Conduct physical exams, prescribe medications and contraceptive methods, and admit, manage, and discharge patients as needed.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and order the use of medical devices as required.
  • Manage labor, inductions, and deliveries in the hospital setting, and perform amniotomies, episiotomies, and repairs as necessary.
  • Act as a first assist for cesarean deliveries and perform telemedicine visits as appropriate.
  • Document patient information in the medical record and dictate information as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Successful completion of a Certified Midwifery Program.
  • Licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • 3 years of relevant clinical experience, including labor and delivery RN bedside roles and/or as a CNM.
  • Previous experience in a collaborative practice role is required.
