Munson Healthcare is seeking an exceptional Certified Nurse Midwife to join their team of healthcare professionals in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive gynecologic and family planning services to patients, including preconception care, prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care.
- Conduct physical exams, prescribe medications and contraceptive methods, and admit, manage, and discharge patients as needed.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and order the use of medical devices.
- Manage labor, inductions, and deliveries in the hospital setting, and perform amniotomies, episiotomies, and repairs as indicated.
- Act as a first assist for cesarean deliveries and perform telemedicine visits as appropriate.
- Document patient information in the medical record and dictate information as needed.
- Participate in strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of services and programs, and initiate process improvement studies to measure outcomes of care.
- Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
- Successful completion of a Certified Midwifery Program.
- Licensure as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan.
- 3 years of relevant clinical experience, including labor and delivery RN bedside roles and/or as a CNM.
- Previous experience in a collaborative practice role is required.
