Job Overview

Position Summary:

This role is designated for a Clinical Research Analyst responsible for executing and overseeing thorough clinical evaluations, which include diagnostic interviews for participant selection, symptom-focused interviews, and cognitive assessments related to research initiatives on schizophrenia and psychosis susceptibility, particularly aimed at youth identified as being at clinical high risk for psychosis. This is a part-time, intermittent role that operates on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts in-depth clinical research evaluations for neuroimaging and clinical studies focusing on youth at risk for psychosis.
  • Prepares summary reports, engages in diagnostic consensus discussions, and provides insights and recommendations to patients, families, and referring healthcare providers.
  • Collaborates with the project coordinator and principal investigator on various aspects of research study management, including participant eligibility assessments and follow-up evaluation coordination.
  • May oversee clinical evaluations conducted by psychology trainees or research personnel.

Qualifications:

  • A master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related discipline is required.
  • Experience in administering psychiatric diagnostic interviews, such as the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5, is essential.
  • Willingness to accommodate evening and/or weekend schedules when necessary to meet participant availability.
  • Proficient in standard research software applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.
  • Prior experience in conducting research with patients and collaborating with healthcare service providers is preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly individuals facing serious mental health challenges, including psychosis, is advantageous.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with the principal investigator, research colleagues, study staff, medical students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows.

The compensation for this position is set at an hourly rate of $81.84.
