Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform janitorial and cleaning activities, including dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Utilize protective gear and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Remove and dispose of trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Interact with facility personnel, supervisors, and the public in a professional and courteous manner
  • Respond to customer preferences and comply with industry, federal, and state guidelines
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Previous school custodial or janitorial experience is preferred
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers
