Position Overview & Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Technician to enhance our team of experts in photovoltaic cell production. The Manufacturing Process Technician will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of machinery used in the creation of high-quality photovoltaic cells. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Configure and operate production machinery for the manufacturing of photovoltaic cells in accordance with established production timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Oversee the production process to ensure that all products comply with quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to avert potential malfunctions.
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Maintain precise records of machine performance, production metrics, and inventory status.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process enhancements.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures diligently.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery operation.
- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as necessary.
Basic Qualifications & Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or production settings.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.
Preferred Qualifications & Competencies
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machinery operation.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and specifications.
- A background in material science or related disciplines is beneficial.
- Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Knowledge of photovoltaic cell production processes and equipment is advantageous.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended durations.
- Capability to use hands and arms for tool and equipment manipulation.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requirement to wear personal protective equipment.
- Work in a dynamic production environment.
