About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and achieving positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
  • Manage the efficient flow of patient care, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging for admissions, testing, and discharges.
  • Review and maintain patients' records, including posting test results and examination findings.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and instruct patients and families on medication use and treatment plans.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
