Acute Care Float Pool RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Float Pool team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and achieving positive outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Respond to Code Blue situations within the facility, initiating protocol and special procedures as needed.
- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, and arranging for testing and admissions.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Review and maintain accurate patient records, including posting test results and examination findings.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies and respond to incoming telephone calls, including phone triage as needed.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, holding an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice, or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- At least two years of full-time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in the designated area is preferred, although less than two years of experience may be considered with approval from the CNO.
