Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Paramedic, you will provide emergency medical services to patients in the hospital and while transporting them between departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures and interventions, including EKGs, glucose testing, and oxygen therapy.
  • Provide basic life support measures, including CPR and bag valve ventilation.
  • Collect and document patient data, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient care and support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) by the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum one year of pediatric patient care experience or one year of field experience as an EMT-P.
  • Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 18 months of hire.
  • Ability to work under stress and make sound judgments.
