We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of production staff to achieve departmental production requirements, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery through continuous improvement and oversight of production processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure safe work practices are developed and implemented, promoting a safety culture with a daily goal of 100% adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor work area and adherence to cleanliness expectations, including performance of daily workplace audits.
- Develop and communicate training and staffing plans, working closely with shift leads on execution.
- Communicate effectively to the team regarding goals and expectations, collaborating with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure a cohesive production operation aligned with short and long-term improvement goals.
- Ensure expected output of quality products, investigating and evaluating product quality issues, defining methods and corrective actions to solve quality and safety concerns, and developing standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions.
- Promote the use of Lean/Sigma Manufacturing concepts, including SPC, Kanban replenishment, 6S, and standard work, using PDCA, visual management, schedule attainment, KANBAN, and daily improvement methodologies to monitor and adjust production requirements.
- Implement and monitor continuous quality improvement activities across the production floor, including waste and cost reduction, and equipment and tool efficiency projects.
- Lead tiered daily management meetings to ensure rapid problem resolution and accountability.
- 5-8 years' experience in a complex production, manufacturing, high-tech assembly, fabrication, service environment, or relevant military experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Polymeric membrane formation preferred.
- 3+ years' of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Proven experience driving process improvements within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success in managing multiple projects across multiple work cells and teams.
- Ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams across multiple groups.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, communication skills, and ability to adapt to workforce, work environment, and customer needs.
- Ability to work a typical first shift schedule with flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends occasionally.
- Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Salary in the $85,000-$98,000/year range.
