About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our Service Discovery and Communication team at Robinhood. As a key member of our team, you will design and develop large-scale, distributed systems that enable real-time, inter-service communication. Your expertise in building services and systems within an organization that deals with significant scale will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop critical projects on our roadmap, including infrastructure and systems that enable real-time, inter-service communication.
  • Proactively identify and drive optimizations and improvements to our infrastructure and systems.
  • Contribute to open source projects and collaborate with our team to build innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience building services and systems within an organization that deals with significant scale.
  • Experience working with infrastructure critical systems like Kubernetes and ideally have hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Bonus points if you have some exposure to Istio or similar service mesh technologies and are interested in gaining more hands-on experience in managing microservices traffic, security, and observability.
