Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our cutting-edge linear generator technology. As a key member of our software team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing embedded software systems for our innovative power generation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop embedded software systems for linear generators, including real-time operating systems and device drivers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components, ensuring seamless system operation.
  • Develop and maintain software emulators and unit tests for continuous integration and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with electrical and controls engineers to drive integrated hardware/software projects from research to product release.
  • Peruse vendor data sheets to build encode/decode functions for unique serial protocols and invent communication protocols for in-house designed I/O devices.
Requirements
  • Several years of experience programming for embedded hardware systems, including design, implementation, architecture, and testing (real-time experience a plus).
  • Passion for software engineering best practices, preferably in C++.
  • Drive to close issues and a track record to prove it (and open them when you find them).
What We Offer

Mainspring Energy, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $140k-$155k, plus pre-IPO stock options and benefits. This position can be hybrid, and the salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location and experience.
