About the Role

We offer an estimated salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, with opportunities for professional growth and development. As a Clinical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing precertification admission and concurrent reviews for the appropriateness of the inpatient setting using InterQual criteria.

Responsibilities
  • Enter or reference data via PC to collaborate with facilities, providers, and Medical Directors.
  • Utilize excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Analyzing clinical knowledge and experience relative to patient care and health care delivery processes.

Requirements:

  • A Registered Nurse with a current unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse license.
  • An Associate Degree or nursing diploma required.
  • Two years of patient care experience.
  • Triage, case management, or utilization review experience.
  • Expertise in the use of medical terminology.
  • InterQual knowledge preferred.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:

  • Two years of acute care experience with an unrestricted Registered Nurse license.
  • ICU/ER preferred or for post-acute care positions SNF/Rehab/LTACH.
  • InterQual/MCG or other utilization review experience.
