Location: Gresham
Compensation: $62.48 / hour
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / Monday - Friday
As a vital part of our operations, we recognize the commitment to continuous service that our team upholds. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and functionality of our electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
• Adhering to safety protocols
• Constructing and maintaining both energized and de-energized overhead and underground power distribution systems
• Installing and removing various electrical components such as transformers, arresters, fuses, cutouts, switches, and street lighting systems.
• Operating specialized vehicles and equipment, including articulated boom trucks and pole-setting machinery.
• Conducting pole-top rescues when necessary.
• Climbing poles to execute maintenance and repairs.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Possession of a Journeyman Lineman certification.
• Experience with hot stick operations is mandatory.
• A valid CDL driver's license is required.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards is essential.
• Ability to climb is necessary.
This position is subject to Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations. If you have been employed by Portland General Electric for less than three years, you will be required to complete a Supplemental Application form regarding your previous employment history.
During the initial evaluation period following any job reassignment, progress reports will be conducted and discussed with the employee.
Compensation Range:
$60.08The starting pay is indicated above. The salary range is determined by the current collective bargaining agreement and may include incremental increases based on tenure in the role.
