Mental Health Specialist

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Worker to join our Behavioral Health team at Mt Sinai Rehab Hospital.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide direct patient care, observe patient behavior, collect data, and provide group and individual interventions to assist psychiatric patients towards recovery and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized patient care in a safe and effective manner.
- Perform and document vital signs, ADLs, patient observations, and other patient care activities.
- Respond rapidly to emergency call lights and perform safety checks.
- Communicate effectively with the patient population.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in the Human Services.
- Certification: AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Possesses a broad practical understanding of life experiences and the ability to relate to emotionally ill individuals.
- Prior experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
- 40 hours, Evening Shift, Rotating Weekends and Holidays.
