The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment at Valeron Strength Films, a global leader in manufacturing high-strength plastic films.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our production lines and ensuring that our equipment is running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines to prevent downtime and optimize performance.
  • Repair and maintain equipment according to manufacturer's specifications and diagrams.
  • Remove defective parts and fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Install new equipment as needed and perform basic electrical work.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial manufacturing, acquired through formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • Valid Valeron Strength Films Lift Truck license.
  • Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and record daily logs.
  • Basic math skills to use micrometers, scales, levels, and tapes.
  • Basic computer skills to enter work orders and communicate with team members.
  • Prior welding experience preferred.
Benefits

Valeron offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
