Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all departmental functions during assigned shifts. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing practices in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engage in continuous assessment of care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Work with experts and managers to foster a teamwork-oriented environment that enhances service and outcomes.
  • Embrace a patient-first philosophy and participate in service recovery as needed.
  • Support facility engagement initiatives by implementing nursing strategies and conducting regular staff rounds.
  • Provide input on recruitment, training, and development of new staff, ensuring compliance with policies and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and manage labor resources according to patient care requirements.
  • Oversee inventory management and assist in the procurement of supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse License from the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, or multi-state privilege under the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program within two years of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is essential.
  • Proven leadership and management skills within the specialty area are required.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in a Charge Nurse role within the specialty.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time day shifts (12-hour shifts) with rotating weekends.
