We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Masters level clinician/social worker to join our team as a Therapist Social Services Specialist. This role will involve coordinating care and providing therapeutic treatment for patients in our 84-bed inpatient setting.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate care with referral sources and other involved professionals, including daily interdisciplinary team meetings and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain and document regular communication with involved professionals and family members as appropriate.
- Encourage patients to participate fully in all aspects of the treatment program, including group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
- Educate and provide patients with community resources to aid in recovery.
- Follow safety practices and protocols as outlined in Palo Verde Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
- Help patients benefit from their insurance by timely completion of paperwork and actively participating in utilization management.
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health.
- Preferred licensure in area of specialty or actively pursuing licensure.
