Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recognize and report abnormal assessment data to the Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the RN to create and implement an appropriate plan of care.
  • Effectively carry out the plan of care, recognizing successes and modifying as needed.
  • Initiate nursing protocols and standing orders at the direction of the RN.
  • Communicate patient condition to the RN and work collaboratively to provide care based on identified needs.
  • Demonstrate independence within the scope of practice and work effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Use appropriate resources, including the Primary RN, Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, Directors, Administrative Coordinator, Pharmacy, etc.
  • Manage time effectively, with no unjustified overtime, and inform the supervisor of potential overtime.
  • Comply with attendance policy and offer assistance to the team to maintain unit productivity.
  • Collaborate with the team and management to develop cost-effective solutions and improve workflow processes.
  • Use team huddles and check-backs to proactively report changes.
Requirements
  • Licensure in the State of Indiana as a Licensed Practical Nurse is required.
  • Night Shift, 12 Hours Weekly, with weekend and holiday rotation.
