About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewables PM/CEQA Technical Lead to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our California Operation, you will play a critical role in supporting our growing energy practice, with a specific emphasis on renewables siting and permitting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead environmental studies and resource analyses, both independently and as part of a project team.
  • Prepare California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents and conduct analyses for various environmental factors.
  • Manage technical projects, engage with clients, and prepare proposals and cost estimates.
  • Direct multi-disciplinary project teams to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Support or lead the preparation and production of land use and resource permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Perform various consulting-related duties supporting the development, analysis, permitting, and financial aspects of onshore and offshore renewable energy development projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as environmental science, environmental engineering, or geology.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated work experience supporting CEQA projects, including preparing technical studies and writing IS/MNDs, EIRs, or other CEQA documentation.
  • Prior environmental consulting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with permitting in California, including agencies such as the California Energy Commission, California Public Utilities Commission, and local jurisdiction land use permitting.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, outside vendors, and internal and external clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience managing major projects with complex project teams in California.
  • Experience with energy development projects and clients.
