Job Summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist II to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures on patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and select the correct protocol for MRI procedures, utilizing all required equipment.
  • Provide quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Maintain competencies in all non-scanner related components.
  • Accurately follow established imaging protocols for exams being performed.
  • Perform quality control procedures in accordance with ACR guidelines.
  • Provide age-specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
  • Provide patient education and communication in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Serve as a resource for students and junior technologists.
  • Perform advanced imaging procedures, including breast biopsies, prostate, functional brain imaging, and cardiac procedures.
  • Assist with performing and planning multiple diagnostic procedures in an appropriate timed sequence.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technologist and 2-3 years experience as an MRI Technologist required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (MR).
  • Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR).
  • BLScertified.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ability to perform quality MR examinations in accordance with all standards.
  • Deliver SAFE care in accordance with the Alwaysafe program.
  • Ability to provide other technologists with instruction on the same equipment.
  • Proficient with AIDET with every encounter and service recovery.
