We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our homecare respiratory team.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver respiratory and sleep therapy services to patients in their homes.
- Implement routine respiratory therapy procedures as prescribed by physicians, including delivering, setting up, and educating patients on the use of durable medical equipment.
- Evaluate and review orders for tracheostomy and suction equipment, creating delivery tickets and educating patients on safe use.
- Set up and configure PAP/NIV therapy equipment, educating patients on proper use and ensuring accurate interface and fitting.
- Document patient interactions and therapy outcomes in electronic medical records, communicating with providers as needed.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement plans and attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- A competitive salary range of $40.09 per hour.
