Position Summary:

We are seeking a Finance Operations Manager to oversee and direct the financial activities of our department.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the finance team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget development.
  • Recruits and hires finance and accounting personnel and conducts performance assessments.
  • Coordinates training initiatives for new hires and identifies ongoing training needs for existing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for financial transactions and budget formulation.
  • Oversees the creation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Manages the generation of periodic financial reports; ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
  • Responsible for tax strategy throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax returns.
  • Conducts audits to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations; collaborates with external auditors and provides necessary information for the annual audit.
  • Presents strategic recommendations to management regarding short- and long-term financial goals and policies.
  • Provides financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Performs additional related duties as required or assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong management and supervisory capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
