REGISTERED NURSE – FAMILY PRACTICE

  • 88th Medical Group, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio
  • Notification of reassignment will be provided two weeks in advance within a 40-mile commuting radius.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Educational Background: Candidates must possess either an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution recognized by the US Department of Education. A BSN is preferred.
  • Accreditation: Must be a graduate from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Professional Experience:
    • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required.
    • At least 24 months of full-time experience in an Adult Primary Care Outpatient clinic within the last 5 years is essential.
    • Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Familiarity with nursing theories, principles, and practices to handle nursing tasks of moderate complexity.
    • Proficient in assessing adults, obstetric, and geriatric patients as necessary.
    • Understanding of a broad spectrum of medical conditions and health issues across different age groups.
    • Knowledge of preventive health measures, disease management, and pharmacological treatments.
    • Competence in documentation and electronic medical records management.
    • Excellent communication skills for patient education and documentation.
  • Licensure:
    • Must hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.
    • Must maintain compliance with continuing education requirements as applicable.
  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. citizens and proficient in English.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be capable of standing or sitting for extended periods and performing all necessary nursing duties.

WORKING HOURS:

  • The Family Medicine Clinic operates Monday through Friday.
  • Work schedules are made available one month in advance.
