Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Controls Specialist to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for commissioning, programming, and servicing complex HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and program HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close-out requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Represent the company as the primary customer contact, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and customers to understand project requirements, forecast potential issues, and synchronize on-site work.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Trane products and technologies, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
  • Enforce safety protocols to the highest standards, maintain security and accountability of company assets, and record use, wear, and conditions.
  • Display a team-oriented mindset, flexibility, and dedication to customer satisfaction, including occasional overtime and overnight stays.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls, technical school, or formal training preferred.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphones, iPads).
  • A valid driver's license for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
  • Previous experience with DDC controls systems is preferred.

Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure:

  • Ability to safely and legally operate a vehicle using a seatbelt.
  • Ability to wear helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harnesses, and safety boots to perform job duties.
  • Ability to twist the trunk of your body 90 degrees in each direction.
  • Ability to squat and touch the floor with both hands.
  • Ability to reach your hands over your head.
  • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours.
  • This position is highly physical, requiring regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder with a 375-pound total weight limit, while wearing equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver access areas, as small as 30 inches vertical x 45 inches horizontal.
  • Ability to comfortably and routinely access rooftops with extension and/or fixed ladders at heights of 15 to 20 feet, and occasionally up to 50 feet or more.

Base Pay Range: $23-35+/hour

This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.
