Position Overview:

We are currently offering competitive recruitment bonuses for qualified and enthusiastic Registered Nurses who are dedicated to the nursing profession.

The Interventional Radiology department operates a four-room suite dedicated to both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for various patient categories, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases. Collaborating with a skilled team of medical imaging professionals, we conduct scheduled procedures from Monday to Saturday and are available for urgent treatments around the clock. Our highly skilled nursing staff delivers comprehensive interdisciplinary care for both stable and critically ill patients from their arrival until their departure.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate optimal patient care through collaboration and communication with Interventional Radiologists, vascular surgeons, and medical imaging teams.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the patient's care plan from arrival to transfer.
  • Assist with procedures and provide care modalities for critically ill patients during their time in the lab.
  • Utilize clinical expertise and critical thinking to coordinate and support the care plan effectively.
  • Ensure seamless transitions of care across the healthcare continuum.
  • Respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Monitor departmental quality metrics and maintain accurate patient documentation.
  • Serve as a mentor and educator for new colleagues and students.
  • Deliver quality nursing care in accordance with established standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of New York.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • National certification is preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience in acute cardiology or ICU settings.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and maintaining required certifications.
  • Participation in orientation and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and a maximum of 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, and reach as required.
  • Occasional exposure to potentially hazardous conditions.

Work Contact Group:

Engagement with all services, medical staff, patients, visitors, and regulatory agencies.

Supervision:

Reports to Team Leader, Clinical Coordinator, Unit Manager, and Nursing Administration.
