We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at HCA Florida Fawcett Surgical Specialists. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, including sterilization and maintenance of equipment.
- Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, as well as provide injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
- Answer telephone calls and screen referrals to the practice.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
- Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred.
- Has worked as a medical assistant for at least 2-3 years and has surgical, wound care, or dermatology experience.
