We are a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Our dedicated team addresses various behavioral, emotional, and learning problems by offering a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

About the Role:

This Counselor Therapist position offers a challenging opportunity to provide direct clinical service to individuals, families, and groups. Services may include individual therapy, family interventions, group therapy, school-based mental health consultation, education, and prevention services. The successful candidate will meet productivity expectations established for outpatient therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality individual therapy, parent guidance, and family interventions.
  • Maintain excellent productivity levels as per established targets for outpatient therapists.
  • Gather crucial clinical information during initial mental health assessments and ongoing treatment contacts.
  • Collaborate with clients and families to develop focused, measurable, and achievable service plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Promote timely completion of clinical documentation in compliance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations.
  • Implement culturally sensitive approaches to deliver effective service plans that respect clients' uniqueness, values, beliefs, and attributes.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Valid Ohio LSW or LPC licensure.
  • Proven leadership skills to drive departmental engagement and success.
  • Demonstrated expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy.
  • Sensitivity in working with diverse populations and the ability to relate effectively to individuals from varying backgrounds.
