Job Summary:
Oriana House is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As an Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to clients struggling with substance use disorders.

About the Role:
This is a full-time position, working 7am-7pm. The ideal candidate will have a valid Ohio License and at least two years of experience in nursing, preferably in substance use disorder and behavioral health services.

Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, your primary duties will include:
• Identifying and prioritizing client care needs using client history and nursing assessment;
• Directing service provision of Counselor Interns;
• Working under the supervision of a physician during examinations and treatment;
• Participating in staff training and presenting information on medical issues;
• Counting, recording, and maintaining secured storage areas for prescription medications and medical equipment;
• Maintaining accountability of medical equipment and supplies;
• Observing, reporting, and documenting client conditions and responses to care;
• Serving as an effective shift leader;
• Providing direction to the primary care team;
• Encouraging positive reinforcement in treatment;
• Conferencing with other staff members to maintain up-to-date knowledge of clients' status;
• Monitoring subordinate staff training and assisting peers as directed;
• Assisting in report data collection and maintaining safe and clean unit areas.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A valid Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse;
• At least two years of experience in nursing, preferably in substance use disorder and behavioral health services;
• Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations;
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements;
• Strong communication and leadership skills;
