Job Summary:

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our In-House Agency RN Program. This is a temporary part-time position that offers PRN employment for 13-week intervals.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care as an RN, coordinating care for patients, triaging patients, and working collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff.

Requires the ability to effectively work with patient referral sources, facilitate appointments, coordinate transitions of care, and provide patient education on complex conditions.

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing

Valid RN License

Minimum of 12 months of experience as an RN in an acute care hospital

Experience in the last 12 months may include up to 6 months in a management position, but must include at least 6 months in a direct patient care role in an acute care hospital

Excellent communication skills

Basic computer skills

Strong work ethics and accountability

Specialty areas, i.e., Intensive Care, F4 Surgical Trauma are required to pass a pre-screening testing with a minimum score of 80%

Chemotherapy certification may be required to work Oncology units

Work Environment:

Inside Medical Facility Environment

Moderate Noise Level
