About the Unit:
Our 10-bed ICU is a high-acuity unit with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, providing a supportive and dynamic work environment. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, and we are seeking a dedicated and experienced nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and other relevant data to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri
- 2+ years of experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting
- CCRN certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
