Industrial Pump Mechanic Opportunity

At DXP Enterprises, we are seeking a skilled Industrial Pump Mechanic to join our team. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, and evaluating the condition of equipment using micrometers and dial indicators. You will also compile and write thorough job inspection reports. This role will include work on gearboxes, compressors, and other process rotating equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints and drawings
  • Use micrometers and dial indicators
  • Use all types of mechanics' hand tools
  • Utilize presses, torches, and pullers
  • Align pumps and motors
  • Rebuild mechanical seals
Qualifications:
  • Have a working knowledge of fits and clearances
  • Be adept at reading micrometers and other measuring instruments
  • Have good math skills
  • Be accomplished at writing inspection reports
  • Have a high school degree
  • Have at least 4 years of experience
Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Training/Certifications: Ability to perform laser alignments and ability to take vibration readings preferred
Shift Time/Overtime: First Shift with Overtime as required
Travel: N/A
Education: High School Diploma

Wages: $55.00/Hour
