**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deter and prevent criminal activity and misconduct
  • Investigate suspicious situations and perform security patrols of designated areas
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders via various means
  • Identify and report potential security concerns and safety hazards
  • Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and associates
  • Assist with patient escorts, patient watches, and safety escorts
  • Conduct investigations and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or directed by department supervision

**Requirements:**

  • At least one year of verifiable work experience in a related field, preferably in security, customer service, or a related role
  • Current, valid State of Florida driver's license (for associates hired after April 1, 2021)
  • Clean State of Florida Motor Vehicle Record
  • Class D Security Officer License (preferred)
  • American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course completion within 60 days of hire and maintenance of certification
  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend conversation and symbols in the English language

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Ability to climb up to nine flights of stairs
  • Ability to withstand extreme heat and cold
  • Ability to listen, speak, walk, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to respond within 90 seconds of an urgent duress call
