Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paragon. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch security services to our clients, ensuring their safety and security at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Access Control: Control access to client sites or facilities through the admittance process, preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the security and safety of clients, visitors, and personnel.
  • Incident Response: Respond to unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level, up to and including armed response, following established protocol and training.
  • Site Patrol: Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations, and reporting any incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives or management.
  • Log and Report Preparation: Prepare logs or reports as required for site, including incident reports, security control logs, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of Armed Security/Law Enforcement experience or two (2) years of honorable service with the US Armed Forces.
  • Background: Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and physical examination requirements.
Competencies:
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, visitors, and personnel, providing clear and concise information and instructions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations, using appropriate escalation of force level as needed.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, providing support and assistance to colleagues as needed.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting, up to 40 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Environmental Factors: Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and exposure to inclement weather.
