POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist will oversee daily human resources operations, including recruitment, employee compensation, benefits administration, policy enforcement, payroll management, and various administrative responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, document, and ensure compliance with required training, continuing education, and performance assessments, including safety and anti-harassment training.
  • Facilitate the recruitment process by interviewing and selecting qualified candidates for open roles, collaborating with department heads to identify necessary skills and competencies.
  • Conduct background checks, reference checks, and verify employee eligibility.
  • Implement onboarding processes, employee recognition initiatives, and coordinate team meetings and training sessions.
  • Administer and execute human resource programs related to compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training.
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants and employees, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Conduct employee disciplinary meetings and manage terminations and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies to maintain adherence.
  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience is essential, with a preference for candidates with California HR experience.
  • Proficiency in ADP TotalSource, Google Workspace, Service Titan, and Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Commitment to high standards and excellence; ability to understand safety requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
