Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services. You will provide clinical support to healthcare professionals, facilitating efficient and effective patient flow, and performing administrative duties to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for visits and admissions, and provide specific services and education as determined by providers.
  • Maintain and monitor electronic health records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Clean and maintain the environment, work area, and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the appropriate department.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Collect and monitor patient data, reporting as directed, and document care consistent with documentation guidelines.
  • Engage in process and quality improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency and implement new services.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required.
  • 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent required within 120 days.
Work Environment

This role is based in the Primary Care Practice at Royalton, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
