Instrumentation Systems Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Systems Specialist to join our team at ScaleneWorks INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, investigating, and developing recommendations regarding Instrumentation and Control Systems during various project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and investigate Instrumentation and Control Systems to develop recommendations for project implementation.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, resolving technical issues and ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Support risk assessments, including PHA/HAZOP, LOPA/SIL assessment, and SIL verification, and review safety requirement specifications.
- Use technical judgment to select and adapt engineering alternatives during project implementation.
- Develop conceptual and detailed Instrumentation and Controls requirements, including Instrumentation selection and guidelines.
- Work with project teams during optimization efforts and implement performance indicators for measurement of Instrumentation and Controls progress.
- Prepare reports to communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to provide technical support and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Proficiency in Smart-Plant Instrumentation Instrument database.
- Generate and review technical reports, specifications, and data sheets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five years of related experience in engineering relevant to Electrical or Instrumentation and Control.
- OR Master's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three years of related experience in engineering relevant to Electrical or Instrumentation and Control.
- Experience with managing and working with Engineering Consultants and Contractors.
- Professional Engineer.
- Smart-Plant Instrumentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control.
- Ability to review, investigate, and develop recommendations regarding Instrumentation and Control Systems.
- Instrumentation and Controls engineering experience in a Mineral Processing Industry.
- Ten years of related experience in engineering relevant to Electrical or Instrumentation and Control.
