Responsibilities:
- Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
- Interview patients to obtain, verify or update medical history and assess risk factors
- Explain procedures to patients, including potential side effects and risks
- Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
- Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols
- Communicate data to radiologists and respond to medical emergencies as needed
- Provide post-care instructions to patients and participate in quality improvement activities within the radiology practice
Requirements:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required
- One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
