Job Title: Automotive Lead Technician

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is a leading provider of tire and auto service solutions in North America. As an Automotive Lead Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

Job Summary

The Automotive Lead Technician position requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead a team of technicians in diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues. You will be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and training junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities
Requirements
  • Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles
  • Must have a minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment
  • A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required
  • Maintains Federal, State and Local certification/license where applicable
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Reading, writing and math skills
