About the Role

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the success of our production operations. This critical role involves scheduling and performing equipment and site maintenance to ensure safety and continuity of factory production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the industrial engineering team to establish maintenance schedules for new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate logs of completed maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers for contract maintenance jobs.
  • Participate in the 5S facility program and adhere to ISO standards.
  • Ensure all necessary hand tools and power tools are maintained and available for in-house maintenance jobs.
  • Work with production teams to monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment, presenting a professional image.
  • Support the facilities manager with communication and feedback on facility-related matters.
  • Participate in production meetings to ensure maintenance schedules align with company goals.
  • Attend intra-department meetings to discuss scheduling, production, and quality issues.
  • Own team goals and results, promoting them to the team and reporting progress to management.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

Knowledge and Training:

  • Scheduling, planning, and prioritizing techniques in a production environment
  • Hand and power tool safety and operation
  • Safety standards and local facility regulations
  • PPE requirements
  • Equipment operation, such as scissor lifts and forklifts
  • MS Office Suite
  • Safety practices in an industrial environment
