Job Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of various systems, including heating, air-conditioning, and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of buildings and other structures to identify functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
  • Ensure System Balance: Ensure a balance of water and air treatment systems to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance: Work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to perform preventative maintenance and activities to facilities and equipment.
  • Plan and Schedule Repairs: Plan and schedule repairs to minimize work downtime.
  • Perform Electrical and Plumbing Maintenance: Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures, and minor plumbing maintenance.
  • Perform General Maintenance: Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Safety Procedures: Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalency required; Technical degree or certificate a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of plastic processing and troubleshooting; basic math skills; basic electrical skills; basic computer skills; ability to read, use, and interpret measuring devices, gauges, and inspection tools.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work Environment:

The work environment is usually in an indoor concrete-floored precision machining shop with a general noise level that can fluctuate from medium to high on a constant basis.
