La Terra Fina USA, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Team Lead to oversee the facilities and equipment maintenance teams in our food manufacturing plant.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our facility infrastructure, equipment, and systems while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and mechanical aptitude, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide leadership to a team of Maintenance & Facility technicians.
  • Train maintenance staff on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and develop solutions to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all automation equipment, including mixers, fillers, conveyors, packaging machines, and more.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities & equipment maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite and a CMMS.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently requires standing, lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, smelling, listening, speaking, and seeing to perform the essential job duties.
  • Work conditions vary, working time will vary based upon work / project needs, and flexibility is critical.
  • Temperatures range from 5 to 90 F degrees in processing departments.
  • Exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment are present in the plant.
  • Potential electrical, mechanical, and chemical, hazards are also present.
  • The noise level is high and constant.
  • Floors are damp and slick.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 25 lbs. to stand for long periods of time.
  • Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, analyze reports, manage data and detail.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
