Job Title: Caregiver (Day Shift or Night Shift)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Caring Hands. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to our residents with daily living activities and needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with medication management, ensuring they take their medication at the appropriate times as prescribed by their doctor.
  • Perform healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication, under the direction of the medical team and/or manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident progress, services provided, and report any changes in their condition to the manager and/or care team.
  • Participate in resident reviews, consulting with the care team to evaluate their needs and plan for continuing services.
  • Keep the manager updated on any changes in the residents' emotional, physical, or psychological state.
  • Administer bedside or personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance, as required and directed by the manager.
  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, transfers, incontinent care, medication assistance, and other tasks as directed by the manager.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times, and in emergency situations, call the ambulance or fire department as needed.
  • Plan, cook, and serve meals, following posted menus, and ensure proper food handling techniques are used and all state, county, and city regulations are followed.
  • Keep all living areas, bathrooms, kitchen, and dining areas clean and disinfected at all times.
  • Clean residents' rooms, medical equipment, and do laundry according to the set schedule.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and relay messages to the manager in a timely manner.
  • Involve residents in age-appropriate activities daily.
  • Refer any questions or complaints about the facility to the manager.
  • Attend continuing education sessions for a minimum of 6 hours annually.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
  • Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Can legally work in the US.
  • Natural inner desire to help the sick, injured, mentally or physically disabled, and the elderly and fragile is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous caregiver experience.
