Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Operations Manager to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a Catering Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating catering staff schedules, ensuring timely delivery of functions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Catering Staff Schedules: Determine workload requirements from catering orders and meet with function group leaders to discuss setup arrangements.
  • Ensure Timely Delivery of Functions: Assemble and deliver food and supplies to scheduled locations, serve food and beverages to guests, and return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Interact with customers, resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner, and demonstrate complete understanding of menu items.
  • Lead Catering Team: Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions, help staff set up rooms to desired specifications, and maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure Food Safety and Quality: Follow HACCP standards, ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license may be required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required by state law.
