Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and janitorial duties to ensure a clean and organized store
  • Clean and sanitize high-traffic areas, including the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area
  • Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures
