About the Role
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Machine Builder Trainee. In this role, you'll work closely with our experienced machinists and engineers to learn the skills and techniques necessary to become a skilled machine builder.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Building and Assembly: Assist in the construction and assembly of machine tools and equipment, using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Quality Control: Verify the accuracy and quality of machine components and assemblies, using precision measuring instruments and equipment.
- Tooling and Fixtures: Assist in the design, construction, and installation of tooling and fixtures, using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machine tools and equipment, using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve your skills and knowledge in machine building and related areas.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., machining, engineering) preferred.
- Skills: Strong math and computer skills; ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly; ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards.
