Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring effective and timely interventions.
- Monitor and document patient condition, communicating with the healthcare team as needed.
- Evaluate and update patient care plans to achieve planned and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated and comprehensive care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely implementation.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing cultural and special concerns.
- Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching.
- Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, with a BSN preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
- Additional certifications may be required for specific units or roles.
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting, with consideration for licensed military RN experience.
