MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Dispatch department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective communication with drivers, monitoring service performance, and making proactive adjustments to maximize on-time delivery and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and Coordinate Technical Workforce: Supervise and coordinate the work of dispatch personnel to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Customer Complaint Resolution: Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Service Disruption Management: Monitor and manage service disruptions, ensuring minimal impact on customers and operations.
- Dispatch Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Dispatch department, ensuring effective use of scheduling software, two-way radio communication, and data analysis skills.
- Coaching and Development: Provide coaching and development opportunities to subordinate dispatch personnel to enhance their skills and performance.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with management and other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues.
- Leadership and Authority: Exercise authority to make recommendations for hiring, firing, and discipline, as well as direct the work of dispatch employees.
Requirements:
- Education: College degree in Business Management or Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least three to five years of successful supervisory experience in a transportation or logistics environment.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and proficiency in Trapeze software.
- Qualifications: Ability to work independently, adapt to a dynamic environment, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence.
